A 250 ft cabin commissioned by my mother on her property in Ashland, Oregon. What started out as garden folly to re-imagine a blackberry bramble evolved into a cozy cabin getaway. The site is a short walk down slope from the main house and garden, along a small creek. A glulam ridge beam allows for a high ceiling without rafter ties. Select framing members on the interior were left exposed to create a visual separation between volumes. I also built two custom awning windows and a dutch door from old growth water-tank redwood
